We’ve traditionally used a manual system of spreadsheets and physical documents to manage our anti-money laundering compliance. This included a face-to-face meeting to identify someone.

I was shopping around for a complete AML solution when I came across AMLCC. It was reasonably priced – especially compared to the company we were using – and it looked like it was going to make our lives easier, as well as doing everything it needed to keep us protected. When I called for a demo, I was impressed by the way the system could link our whole business’ AML work together.

We’ve used AMLCC for a number of years now and I can honestly say that it makes AML painless.

Not only does it have the online ID checking service and Sanctions and PEP monitoring that the previous company did, it has everything else we need too. And it’s all in one place, so everything’s connected and organised.

It’s a one-stop-shop for AML

Onboarding is so much easier with AMLCC. We use the Reusable Client Profiles because many of our clients are similar. We have one template set up for each client type – limited companies, personal tax, for example. This does most of the work by autofilling questions that are the same for that client type. Then all we do is make any changes to fit the client’s individual situation. It takes minutes.

I think the biggest difference compared to our previous solutions is that the owners of AMLCC are AML experts and have been regulated professionals themselves. So when you speak to customer services, you know you’re getting the best information.

Their expertise also means they update AMLCC’s questions and wording in line with new legislation and regularly introduce enhancements to the platform, which I think is a real selling point. I’ve actually made a functionality suggestion to them myself that they’ve incorporated into one of their updates. This is a level of attention that I’ve never experienced before from a software provider.
